Minnesota winters bring heavy snow, ice, and sub-zero temperatures, creating serious risks for construction equipment storage, tools, and materials exposed outdoors. For Hunt Electric, critical electrical materials were at risk from snow accumulation, freezing conditions, and moisture damage.
Without protection, these conditions could lead to costly material replacement, construction delays, and reduced winter productivity. Hunt Electric needed a reliable winter protection shelter solution to keep materials secure, accessible, and protected throughout the harsh Minnesota construction season.
Allshelter supplied and installed two IBC and ASCE 7-16 compliant snow-rated container canopies, each measuring 40 ft wide x 40 ft long x 20 ft high. These industrial container shelters were designed as fully enclosed winter protection structures, complete with end walls and access doors, delivering maximum resistance against snow, ice, and wind.
The result is a durable, modular winter construction shelter solution that protects critical materials while supporting efficient on-site operations in extreme Minnesota conditions.
Built as durable fabric shelters mounted on containers, the structures delivered both strength and flexibility. The container canopy design allowed Hunt Electric to utilize their existing space efficiently while ensuring the shelters could be relocated in the future if site requirements changed.
To ensure minimal downtime, the shelters were installed quickly in partnership with United Rentals – Coon Rapids Storage Containers & Mobile Offices. The coordinated installation process enabled rapid deployment of the snow-rated construction shelters, allowing Hunt Electric to continue operations with minimal disruption.
The new Allshelter storage shelters give Hunt Electric a cost-effective, durable way to protect equipment and materials year-round. Built for jobsite efficiency, they create a safer, more organized workspace for crews—while the translucent fabric canopy floods the space with natural daylight, cutting reliance on artificial lighting even on overcast days.
